Bulk Material Surface Modification/Coating for Flow Performance Improvement in Transport Systems
Original language description
The paper deals with a new trend and method description in the transport, handling and storage area of powders. The description leads to a failure elimination of transport systems and thus to a transport continuity and a cost saving. The results of theresearch of the powder flowability improvement, especially for rough flow powders, have been investigated. The flowability improvement has been represented by an angle of repose measurement in the research. Here has been found, that 1% of added nano-par ticles may only decrease above mentioned angle of repose more then 50 % of angle of repose value of unmodified particles. The performance of the surface modification powder is different in comparison with the unmodified powder and it is possible to say, that the powder freely flows like water, but the flowability may be conducted by an amount of the used nano-particles and surface modification technology adjustment only
