Original language description
The topic of the paper deals with vehicle external noise measurements. A vehicle pass-by noise test requires the vehicle to be driven through a test site at full acceleration according to the ISO standard or SAE recommendation. Peak noise level, measuredon the dB(A) sca1e at the given distance from the centre of the test track, determines the vehicle pass-by noise level. The low cost pass-by noise instruments provide the A-weighted peak-level-hold value of the sound level meters. This analysis technique does not enable to associate the sound level with vehicle noise sources for the non-stationary engine RPM. A solution to follow the value of each noise spectrum component as an order of the fundamental frequency consists of using of the Vold-Kalman order-tracking filter
