In this paper numerical investigation of a turbulent jet injected normally into a crossflow is described. Numerical experiment was carried out according to the physical experiment measured in the wind tunnel at the Institute of Thermomechanics AS CR, Prague. The main objective of this work was to perform the calculation with RANS and LES turbulence models provided in FLUENT and to test the capability of the models to account for unsteady wake vortex shedding downstream of the jet exit. The results, including the time series obtained in monitoring point and their evaluation using FFT, were partly compared with data obtained from measurement
