In this paper we deal with safety of pedestrians on the crosswalks with using video analysis. Describe used appropriate method of monitoring and evaluating behaviour of traffic participants with conflict situation occurred on the crosswalks. The paper also responds to appropriate changes in the Czech road traffic law num. 361/2000 Collection of Laws, and carry in recommendation for accurate definition rules road traffic participants on the pedestrian crossing
