The paper deals with an experimental determination of amplitude frequency characteristic of pressure for hydraulic pipe. For the teaching purpose, experimental equipment for pressure pulses generation on department of hydromechanics and hydraulic equipments at VŠB ? TU Ostrava, Faculty of mechanical engineering was realized. The hydraulic system for a pressure pulses generation is adjustable and serves for a determination of frequency characteristics and transient characteristics. Further the system isused for measurement of physical quantities (speed of sound in the liquid and modulus of volume compressibility at liquids) in order to obtain input data to a mathematical model. The experimental equipment makes possible a verification of numerically modelled characteristics. It is used for a teaching of dynamical properties of long pipe.
