USB Sensors for Small Laboratory Measurement Systems
Original language description
New trends in industrial sensor there are smart sensors with USB connection to PC or PDA computers. These types of sensors are flexible, small, local area covered sets with good possibility of measurement values. By this way can be measured temperature, force, pressure, displacement, angle and rotation by USB encoders, vibration and RFID modules. These universal modules make up the low cost USB sensing and control tasks. Application possibilities and experiences from design of measurement tasks with modules from firm Phidgets will be presented. On the Department CSI, VŠB-TUO were solved problems with program application task for connection of 2 and 3 axes USB acceleration sensors and with a LabVIEW program support for connection to PC. Also we have good experiences with sensors of temperature, force, pressure, displacement, angle and rotation.
