Original language description
This paper will dealing by a solution of ceramic cutting tools availability in interrupted machining. Experiments were performed on a special fixture - the interrupted cut simulator. This fixture was constructed at our Department of Machining and Assembly within the scope of a project by the Czech Science Foundation. Tested were 4 types of Sandvik Coromant ceramic cutting tools during variable cutting speed and feed. Cutting depth was constant parameter and machined material was steel 12 050 (C45). Thegoals of the tests were to contribute to the wider usage of these cutting materials in machining, especially in interrupted machining.
