Localization of Position of Bulk Material Vaults in Silos
Original language description
When operating silos for bulk materials, the operator very often must face various flow problems. Such problems result from segregation, degradation, contamination, change of granulometric distribution or other qualitative changes of bulk material and with them associated failures of continuity of flow of bulk material in transport and storage equipment. One of the serious flow problems is the impossibility of bulk material silo emptying because of a created vault. The paper presents a possibility to localize the position of an arising vault in bulk materials (e.g. in silos for storage of bulk materials) by detecting wall pressures sigmaW and vertical pressures sigma1 of bulk material in a silo at a targeted process of bulk material aeration and relaxation.
