Original language description
The paper deals with a working prototype of a system for the active vibration control of journal bearings. The active vibration control is acting as a tool for preventing the rotor instability due to the stiffness and damping effect of the oil film. Thecontrollable journal bearing with the cylindrical bushing supporting a high-speed rotor is adapted to become movable in the bearing casing. The position of the bearing bushing is actuated by a pair of piezoactuators.
