Influence of application technology on the distribution of pigment nanoparticles in a coating system
Original language description
Currently, the emphasis on corrosion protection of steel products production for transportation to a destination. Short-term corrosion protection of steel products shall be carried out varnish, which does not provide perfect protection in this aggressiveenvironment C5 for 3-6 months. A new trend in the protection of steel products is to use a thin transparent rating systems with low content of pigment in the nano-sizes. Coatings systems provide corrosion protection, especially the barrier in a way thatlimits access to water and corrosive materials from the environment to the surface. Anti corrosive pigment contained not only increases the corrosion resistance, but also to certain extent, the mechanical properties. The protective effect of the paint system is increased by the presence of active pigments. One of them is zinc ortho-phosphate, which is today among the most used non-toxic anti-corrosion pigments.
