TOOL WEAR DEPENDING ON THE ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE
Original language description
The current trend is a remote diagnostic machine and machine tool. The ability to achieve the criterion of tool wear for cutting edge of machine tool was found in tests which were determined by their explanatory power. And it was verified theoretically described the suitability of this method. The measurement is implemented using by the deposited thin resistive layer. Resistive layer is applied onto a ceramic cutting insert which will be machined workpiece made from cast iron P 25 by slide tuirning. Furthermore is verified the functionality of report (cutting insert with resistive layer, tool holder with contacts for conducting electricalcircuit). In conclusion, we evaluate the use of thisdiagnostic method in engineering practice.
