The Deformation And The Stress State Of The Fabric Membrane
Original language description
The textile fabric is an interesting subject of the finite element method (FEM) based modeling. It can be used in the form of a several types of fabric bags, either prismatic or flat. We are interested in the deformation of the bag, the stress state in the material and the total volume of the full bag. The modeling brings the problem of the geometric non-linearity and so called ?first step problem?. The case is the typical example of the II. order task - the stiffness and subsequently the mechanical behavior depends on the deformation. The solution has the form of iterative calculations, during which the stiffness matrix changes in every solution step with respect to the calculated deformation. The commercial software has the tools for such an iterative approach. So called ?first step problem? is the problem of the solution in the initial geometric configuration. The stiffness depends on the fabric curved shape. In the initial geometric configuration the fabric is flat and has zero sti
