    The paper deals with the model of a flexible rotor supported on journal bearings. It is assumed high rotational speed of the rotor and therefore the gyro effects on rotor bearings occur. This model differs from other solutions by the use of complex variables for the planar coordinates. The complex variables simplify mathematical equations and their implementation in MATLAB Simulink.
