Modal Analysis of the Cantilever Beam
Original language description
Laboratory model for an active vibration control was developed at the Department of Control System and Instrumentation, Technical University Ostrava. The decaying rate of a steel cantilever beam was considerably reduced on this model due to the usage ofthe piezoactuators as a feedback from vibration. The modal analysis of the model, which consists of the cantilever beam and the aluminium frame, was performed in order to better understand the dynamic behaviour of the construction. This study should explain dynamic behaviour of the model including the frame. The reason of this analysis is the existence of resonant peaks on the cantilever beam.?s frequency response functions, which do not correspond to the mathematical formulas (based on previous measurements).
