The contribution to the several factual examples shows possibibilities of the current operating diagnostic of the longwall shearers. From the acquired data there are evaluated the failure conditions of the monitored mine equipment, the course of the loading driving engines and the correct operation of the safety elements of the longwall shearer. The results of these data analysis consequently find the use at engineering designs of the longwall shearers and by the determination of their optimum parameters. The author processed real data measured at concrete mining conditions of longwalls in real underground mines.
