Modeling of the Electronic Variable Pitch Drive

  • Original language description

This contribution describes procedures and results obtained at the Department of Control Systems and Instrumentation of the VrB-Technical University of Ostrava during research and mathematical modelling of variable pitch systems behavior. The wiring scheme and control strategy of the electronic variable pitch drive mounted on new testing stand are presented. Ability of machines to fly had been based on the complex mechanical units until the end of last century. Development of high-quality and affordablesensors brings the innovation to this sector. The presented stand was created for testing of the new optimized control algorithms for UAV devices (multicopter). The complex mechanical parts can be replaced by electronics. The construction of EVP testingstand includes BLDC motor, power electronics (ESC), microcontroller, sensors and simple frame. It doesn't require complex mechanical parts. Management and control is compared with conventional helicopter eased considerably
