    Preservatives ability of coatings applied to materials of metallurgical production, steel structures, etc. for short-term corrosion protection is very delicate and modern topic. In cooperation with project Pre-Seed activities we can closer devote to thistopic. Project Pre-Seed VŠB-Technical university of Ostrava, which is a part of the Research and development for Innovation program, is trying to support the preparation of the commercialization of promising technologies and inventions with high application potential incurred on VŠB - Technical university of Ostrava. This paper focuses on short-term corrosion protection of metallurgical products, steel structures, engineering products by using thin nanocoatings. Experimental works are deal with the production and development of samples that substantiate innovativeness and functionality of this issue. In addition, the project deals with important factors affect the quality and durability of the coating system (nanocoating). The results
