The Laboratory of bulk materials is a scientific and technical department of VSB - Technical University of Ostrava. This laboratory studies the processes of bulk materials. There are solved problems of processes - production, sorting, size reduction, storage - silos, bins, emptying and transport of bulk materials. The focus of the work in laboratories are unique and practice proven methods for assessing the mechanical / physical and geometrical properties of the bulk material, which is based on an informed assessment of the baseline engineering task. The technical process is finding the optimal relation between the properties of bulk materials, geometric shapes engineering works, applied materials and the optimum course of ongoing regularities of bulksolids in the production, transport and storage. The aim is to achieve a reliable device features and specifications of possible risks.
