The method for align and calibration of 2D laser scanning system
Original language description
This article describes a methodology for alignment of the 2D laser triangulation scanning system in one working plane using a set of calibration gauges. This calibration is necessary for correct function of measurement system. The article describes the impact of offset angles of gauges or measure objects on measurement accuracy and method to align gauges to the measurement axis. The goal of this align is to minimize systematic measurement errors in the system developed for measurement of the diameter and ovality of rolled pipes.
