Strength of thermal drilled threaded holes
Original language description
The paper presents experiments on strength of bolted connections with threaded holes. The results compare different types of technology used for thread manufacturing. Especially thermal drilling technology. The method is tested on various types of steels, including both mild grade and high strength steel types. The results are analysed compared to standardized values. As a conclusion, this paper presents a technique to make estimations about such connections strength.
