UNIVERSAL LIFTING BEAM
Original language description
Substantially obsolete and therefore dangerous lifts from the turn of the 1980s and the generally ageing population that lives in buildings without lifting equipment create pressure for the rapid implementation and revitalisation of lifts and their accessories. Companies in the field are therefore forced to design all components as simply as possible, and if possible, these components must be unified - universal. Nowadays, this market offers a countless number of lifting machines, components, and safety components which are used by the implementer of such constructions. Unfortunately, a universal lifting beam is missing. Such a beam is usually designed for each contract separately and relatively uneconomically. These beams are characterized by their heavy weight, outsized components, and high demands on both fitting them and the qualifications of an engineer. Therefore, we have focused on the development of a universal lifting beam, which is described in this article. Its advantages are: its already mentioned versatility, low weight, foldability, and the related reduced demands for its transport and installation. This design reduces the time and number of persons required to install it, and also their qualifications, as has already been mentioned. The article also describes the structure of a special component for the fixing of various lifting machines. It also deals with the possible setting of pulleys to ensure the requested angle for belting the friction disc on the drive wheel and cable spacing between a lift cage and a counterweight. The above mentioned parameters of the proposal together with the significant time savings in the context of one fitting is viewed very positively by firms operating in this field of business.
