The design of steel structures (particulate solid silos) is tied to a number of binding international standards. It is necessary to know the specific parameters of the stored material, the envisaged dimensions and the material of the silo, as well as the location of the calculated construction. The location of the particulate solid silo is particularly important in terms of monitoring and quantifying the effects of wind and snow on the overall particulate solid silo design. The paper presents the specifics of the calculation of two same volume silos, one of which will be located in the Czech Republic and the other in the Philippines.
