Investigation of flow for check valves using the optimization method
Original language description
The check valves are used to control the flow of the working fluid in one direction and avoid flow in the reverse direction and are used where an undesirable reverse flow occurs. Experimental and mathematical methods can be used to examine the characteristics of the check valve. Optimization method can be used to modify the construction design to improve operating parameters. This method has been applied to the check valve. The result is an evaluation of the usability of the Adjoint Solver (Fluent) to reduce the valve resistance.
