In the current competitive environment, the main activity of air carriers operating scheduled air passenger transport is the search for new business opportunities. Es-tablishing a new route is a long-term and complicated decision-making process composed of many series-parallel sub-activities which follows each other in objec-tive and time meaning. The preparation of the new routing operation can, therefore, be understood as a project. In the past we have dealt with the application of net-work analysis methods to manage such a project. The article deals with the applica-tion of the PERT method in the preparation of the scheduled flight connection be-tween Leos Janacek Ostrava Airport - Warsaw Chopin Airport
