Plunger pumps are nowadays deployed in critical, operationally demanding structural units within industrial operations, which places high demands on ensuring their operability. The main idea presented in the article is the implementation of methods of technical diagnostics without disassembly for the verification and objectification of the technical condition of the plunger pump with the subsequent possibility of forecasting its remaining service life, i.e. time until necessary repair or restoration. We will outline the possibilities of using selected methods of technical diagnostics with regard to the specific operating cycle of the plunger pump
