Use of Wireless Transmission for Vibration Monitoring

  • Original language description

The paper describes the possibilities of wireless data transmission during vibration measurement or the indication of exceeding the trigger (monitored) level of the measured signal from the vibration sensor. A MEMs accelerometer, position sensor, etc., which uses wireless communication for data transmission, can be used as a sensor for measuring vibrations. The design and implementation of this low-cost system was motivated by the need to measure vibrations in individual axes for the teaching model, without the supply wires to the sensor affecting the vibration measurements in the remaining axes. The proposed system is intended for systems that do not have a fixed connection in the individual axes, for example a shaker with a large radial clearance. In the case of using an embedded accelerometer in the device (phone), the information can be used, for example, in security systems. One of the goals is to test and compare different types of wireless transmission paths.
