  • Original language description

    The research of the phenomenon, namely the fall dynamics for a cut-down tree, has been initiated by a court action. Applying a nemerical simulation, it has been necessary to determine the closest safe position for an alongside standing person who would not be hurt by the falling tree trunk. The task has been resolved as a plane one and diskretised by finite element method. The solution has been made by FEM package ANSYS.
