Three Phase Soft Commutation Auxiliary Resonant Pole Inverter
Original language description
Auxiliary resonant pole inverter represents a typical design of so called quasi-resonant converter, which thanks to the suppression of switching losses, is characteristic of high efficiency when using all standard modulation methods of inverter#s outputvoltage. Disadvantage of this method is more complex circuit of the power part containing series of switches which are not routinely produced for example in potential-free modules. This paper covers the circuit modification of the power part of the inverter with auxiliary resonant poles utilising configuration of switches realised with routinely produced IGBT modules. Covered is also the control optimisation which goal is the minimisation of switching of the auxiliary resonant pole. Presented results were gained on a prototype of an inverter laboratory sample.
