Applications of Active Power Filters
Original language description
The power converters are typical load in the distribution mains. Input circuits of this converters are often designed as a controlled or non-controlled rectifier, which consists of power semiconductor devices. The converter is non-linear load in the mains and its line currents are not only sinusoidal, but there contain higher current harmonics, which unfortunately influence feed system. This influence causes non-harmonics curves of voltage. For the reduction of the higher harmonics influence the filterscompounded by inductors and capacitors are used. However these devices have many basic disadvantages. All these undesirable properties it is possible to remove by using active power filters. Goal of this paper is exhibit of basic conception of serial active power filters and possibility their control. The contribution is deal with on a simulation of individual method control.
