Past few last years, there has been considerable movement in the way enterprise applications are build to face B2C and B2B challenges. Java is the most promising platform for such applications. J2EE, an emerging technology for enterprise development, brings some interesting paradigms and solutions. This paper discusses possibilities to merge workflow technology and some J2EE concepts to support flexible business process automation. The aim is to provide reusable business process automation framework. The reusability is achieved by object orientation of workflow models.
