Original language description
In this paper are described the basic principles of the Reliability Centred Maintenance – RCM and its application to electric distribution network devices. Described total costs equation, which is instrumental to the optimal maintenance strategy assessment, is still edited and elaborated. The cost function is stepwise applied to distribution network device of the North Moravian distribution company. Results of application are stepwise evaluated. In this manner arise first experience with RCM and first feedback. Presented methodology should be instrumental to radical change of the maintenance strategy in this company eventually in others too.
