Introduction to Security Assertion Markup Language
Original language description
This paper cover technical aspects of SAML [1], the XML-based Security Assertion Markup Language standard (a standard for exchanging authentication and authorization information between domains) developed at OASIS [1]. Using SAML, security information can be expressed as an XML document and securely transmitted from one application to another. It will be discussed how SAML enables single sign-on and details about the authentication, attribute and authorization information that SAML can provide.
