Description of Seismic Events using Wavelet Transform

Original language description

In this paper, real signals arising during mining induced seismic events are used for processing (in Upper Silesian Coal Basin, Czech Republic). Methodology for processing of these slight signals using wavelet transform is presented. Briefly, three basicsteps describe this procedure: - Selection of optimal wavelet and optimal wavelet basis - wavelet packed decomposition and filtration of data using universal criterion of thresholding - cluster analysis of decomposed data using eigenvalues of varian ce matrices, singular value of packet decompositions and eigenvalues of cosine matrix containing values of cosines of angles among vectors.
