The contribution deals with various aspects of solving the reliability of the electrical power system that is conceived as an ability of this system to ensure the continuous and quality supply of electrical energy to customers. Thus, what is meant is notonly the area of power generation, but also the area of the transmission and distribution of electrical energy. Main attention is paid to the influence of used electrical protection devices on the overall reliability of HV substations.

Příspěvek je zaměřen na řešení spolehlivosti elektroenergetické soustavy, kterou chápeme jako schopnost této soustavy zajistit nepřetržitou a kvalitní dodávku elektrické energie spotřebitelům. Nejedná se tedy jen o oblast výroby elektrické energie, ale io oblast přenosu a rozvodu elektrické energie. Hlavní pozornost je věnována vlivu použitých elektrických ochran na celkovou spolehlivost rozvoden vysokého napětí.
