Reliability and continuity of supply is one of the most important characteristics of electricity supplied to customers from distribution and also transmission system. To determine the reliability of network elements and the supply of electrical energy toconsumers it is necessary to monitor failures and outages in the transmission and distribution of electrical energy. For determination of the element reliability it is necessary as much extensive database of failures and outages of supply as possible. Knowledge of the element reliability allows to find out for example defective production runs of distribution network elements and the most frequent causes of failures.
