    In the paper we deal with the problem of sentences containing anaphoric reference to a previously used expression. The problem is a well-known hard nut of linguistic analysis, because the antecedent of the anaphoric reference is often not determined unambiguously. For instance, the sentence "The boy and his daddy saw a dragon, and the boy thinks that he is immortal." is ambiguous. If the second clause stood alone, the anaphoric pronoun 'he' would refer to 'the boy', but in this composed sentence it seems to refer to 'dragon' rather than 'the boy'. Thus it is often said that anaphora is a pragmatic problem rather than the problem of logical semantics. We agree that logical analysis cannot disambiguate the above sentence. Actually, logical analysis cannot and does not disambiguate any sentence, because it presupposes understanding and full linguistic competence.
