In power engineering practice, we can use the mluti-ctriterion analysis for example for selecting the most acceptable device, which we need to replace by a new device.Remotecontrolled disconnectors are very expensive, and thus we are not able to replace all hand operated disconnectors with these remote controlled disconnectors

Metody multikriteriální analýzy /MCA/ jsou užívány pro výběr nelépe přijatelné varianty z množiny určených. V elektroenergetice využívané MCA pro výběr přístrojů, kterými potřebujeme nahradit zastaralé přístroje novými. Nahrazované nové dálkově řízené odpínače jsou velmi drahé. Proto nemůžeme nahradit všechny najednou. Volíme tedy priority náhrady metodami /MCA/. Článek popisuje také ekonomickou návratnost investovaných peněz v souvislosti se zkrácením doby trvání poruchy
