Photovoltaic Sources for Hydrogen Production in the VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava
Original language description
The main topic of this paper is making use of the renewable energy generated by solar panels for powering an electrolyser. It can produce, by means of the electrical energy, hydrogen and oxygen in the process called electrolysis. Then the hydrogen (and oxygen, if appropriate) is stored for further use. In case of need the hydrogen powers a fuel element which works on the opposite principle than electrolyser, converting hydrogen back to electrical energy. The experimental process of hydrogen production from solar energy and its storage in fuel elements is a research project in the special laboratory at the VSB-TU Ostrava.
