Original language description
The article contains description of measurement results obtained on the co-generation unit (CU) supplying electric power into the public distribution network. This unit utilises landfill gas to ensure combined production of electric power and heat, thisgas is extracted from the communal dump grounds located within the territory of a district town. The landfill gas is classified as renewable energy source (RES). As far as the electric power supplied into the distribution network from CU's are concerned,these shall be considered with respect to the qualitative parameters, which should comply with stipulations of the ČSN EN 50160 standard. This standard was used to assess the electric power produced by the CU model TEDOM Cento L150 SP BIO. The essentialplatform of this CU comprises the gas combustion engine driving a synchronous power generator. The electric power produced in the CU is supplied into the local 22kV distribution network via the distribution transformer unit.
