Program System for Ansalyzing and Evaluation Ultrasound Image for Medical Purposes.
Original language description
This contribution deals with analyzing and evaluating "objects of interest" present in ultrasound images as well as assessing the progress or regressions illustrated in these objects. These objects are highly significant from a medicinal perspective andinclude atherosclerotic plaque in carotid arteries, the intima-media thickness in the distal part of the common carotid artery, cerebral cortex size and brain stem findings in cases of Parkinson disease. Here, we describe procedures employing common principles and methods for recognizing "points of interest" in images that may serve in finding and determining coordinate values of xi,yi. pixels, parameters and properties of analyzed objects. In this contribution we describe the searching and identifyingpoints of interest and objects in ultrasound images by FOTOM system. It is also briefly described the system architecture FOTOM 2008 and visualization of measurement process. In conclusion, assessment of results.
