Issues Concerning the Operation of 110 kV Power Lines
Original language description
The paper deals with issues concerning the operation of 110 kV power lines with respect to the occurrence of failures and faults. The second part analyses the failure database of 110 kV power lines and includes graphs which illustrate the most common failure types and their causes. The third part deals with the analysis of a database of the faults on 110 kV power lines, showing the most common causes of faults and specific types of faults. In the fourth part, the power line with the largest number of faults, which was planned to be completely reconstructed, is selected. In the fifth part a more intensive maintenance for all 110 kV power lines is proposed and finally, in the last part, the cost per km of power line is estimated taking into account the current situation and the new design (after the reconstruction of three power lines and intensified maintenance) with respect to the whole 110 kV power grid.
