Original language description
The FOTOM system developed at the Department of Computer Science FEECS VŠB TU Ostrava is used for digital image processing. FOTOM 2008 was created in the programming language C++. The new revolutionary version of the system FOTOM 2009 was designed in 2009. This system has a new kernel and provides more universal and easily extensible architecture with recently solved calibration and transformation of images. Mine image transformations consist of conversion data from snapshots to the three-dimensional coordinate system. Calibration of images is used for corrective projection allowing for easier measuring of observed objects. Calibration also supports the transformation of objects situated on the inner wall of a cylindrical object.
