The new concept of software systems solutions based on Web services is becoming more popular in information technology. The concept of "SaaS" provides cost savings and eliminates the need for installation and operation of software on the user side. Especially for endusers this concept brings significant benefits. In engineering software applications it offers the possibility to use this concept for wide layer of users. One industry that is undergoing a dynamic expansion is the area of building management systems. Implementation of applications based on a "SaaS" can bring distinct advantages against common software solutions. 2012 IEEE.
