    Identification of Equivalent Parameters of The Traction Transformer

  • Original language description

    Traction transformers are generally used to the feeding of the AC traction system 25 kV, 50 Hz in the Czech Republic. The current of the AC traction system is non-sinusoidal due to a harmonic-generating load as a rectifier of a locomotive that causing voltage distortion on the both sides of the transformer. The paper is focused on identification of equivalent parameters of a traction transformer by means of the distortion of the voltage and current waveforms at the point of transformer connection. It is shown that fundamental components and harmonic distortions are transformed from the secondary side onto the primary side of the transformer in the different ratio and that the transformer behaves like the current transformer for harmonic distortion. Dampening effect of the transformer on harmonic powers is also presented. There are discussed possibilities of identification of power network parameters, as well.
