Original language description
The paper deals with using biogas produced by sewage treatment plants for electricity production. Biogas is used for its uncomplicated burning and further conversion of the energy it carries into heat. Formerly, anaerobic sludge stabilization was considered necessary evil connected with sewage treatment with as much as 50% share on operating costs. Biogas burning in cogeneration units in sewage treatment plants means a significant opportunity for the water treatment companies.
