Guidelines for modelling BED in simultaneous radiotherapy of two volumes: tpv(1) and tpv(2)
Original language description
This paper deals with the mathematical system which describes effects of ionizing radiation onto a human organism during radiotherapy. A particular attention is paid here to the analysis and modelling of a Biological Equivalent of Dose ("BED"). The BED model is analysed here for two simultaneous radiotherapies with two volumes: tpv(1) and tpv(2). This model was tested using real historic data from the University Hospital in Ostrava. The outcome is also prediction of the maximum permissible dose which can be applied to patients without a risk that toxicity for their organism will increase too much.
