Original language description

This monograph deals with optimizing of data transmission in GPRS/EDGE network. In the introduction, the present situation of the issue in the point of view coexistence speech and data traffic in the GSM system. A possible QoS implementation to GPRS/EDGEis described as weel as the sharing policies within one cell. The experimental part deals with possibilities of optimizing GPRS/EDGE data transmissions and determining the QoS. The ON/OFF model and Kendall classification was used for traffic characterizing. The core of the mathematical model uses the Markov chains theory and the birth-death process. The characterization of subscriber represents the input parameters of the mathematical model. The mathematical model can simulate the probability of activesubscribers if the characterization of subscriber is known.
