    Energy Balance of Biogas Station

    This article deals with energy balance of biogas station. Since the system provides combined electric and heat power production, it is based on balance of both components. Monthly readings of electricity were used as sources of information; these were also complemented by two monthly measurements. Readings of heat are carried out on heated buildings only. We know the amount of heat recovered only, rather than the amount of heat produced. The flow measurements were therefore carried out on the quantity of heating water from combined heat and power unit. These figures were used to calculate the approximate value of the produced heat energy. Additionally, we used the known ratio between heat and electricity energy of cogeneration units and the known amount of elektricity produced. Thereafter assessing the quantity of heat produced and recovered in the individual months. This article is part of a long-term comprehensive research of biogas stations.
