Analysis of electrolyzer efficiency and its influence to components parameters in laboratory hybrid photovoltaic - hydrogen stand - alone system

  • Original language description

In order to eliminate unwanted operating characteristics is one potential solution for stand-alone power systems or systems with multiplatform generation of electricity from renewables or another non-traditional sources usage of hybrid conception with some accumulation capacity. As a one of the possible technological solutions for realisation of suitable accumulation capacity as an electrical energy storage offers to usage of hydrogen technologies. For familiarization of students and primarily for fundamental testing, and practical deployment of available commercial hydrogen technologies in real applications was built hybrid energetic system in Laboratory of Fuel Cells Application, where was performed the experimental work. The mentioned energetic system consists of several basic components: a photovoltaic field, accumulator bank, two modules of commercial water electrolyzers, a compact fuel cell system and likewise pre-defined electrical energy consumption.
