Original language description
A simple set of generic loads was developed for testing small alternated current power sources, such as prime mover generator sets, frequency converters, etc. Three types of generic loads were developed and tested: linear resistive-inductive-capacitive load, which can continuously adjust active as well as reactive power, and two non-linear loads represented by two-way rectifier with smoothing capacity feeding rheostat and a dimmer - load regulated by firing angle of a triac. Paper describes design and field testing of these loads. Testing of generic loads is focused on usage with Off-Gris inverters.
